Simone Biles makes appearance at the US Open as Olympics hero watches Jessica Pegula battle for place in semifinals
Simone Biles is in the house for Wednesday night's US Open quarterfinals in New York after her record-breaking success at the Paris Olympics. Biles, who claimed three gymnastics gold medals and a silver in the French capital this summer, was all smiles as she watched fellow American Jessica Pegula battle for a place in the women's semifinals against Poland's Iga Swiatek. The gymnastics icon will also be in attendance when men's No 1 seed Jannik Sinner locks horns with Russia's Daniil Medvedev (No 5 seed) later in the evening.
