A WALMART shopper is fed up over frequently closed self-checkout lanes and is confused as to why they would not always be available.

The shopper argued Walmart self-checkouts should always be available to use since they are machines.

Walmart customers made sarcastic jokes about its self-checkout consistently being closed down[/caption]

A user on X, formerly Twitter, explained their frustration with the closed self-checkouts.

"It drives me nuts when you go to a place like Walmart or anywhere with self-checkout and half of the stations are closed," Tony (@cardinalfan9633) said on X.

"Are the self-checkout computers on their lunch breaks?"

Another Walmart shopper made a sarcastic comment about the store's checkout process.

"Shopping at Walmart is usually easy until you have to checkout," they replied to Tony's tweet.

"Can be infuriating!"

SELF-CHECKOUT WOES

Many shoppers are unhappy with the number of self-checkouts kept open throughout the day at their Walmart store.

Walmart shopper Colleen shared a post on Facebook to explain her self-checkout troubles and how there were "rarely any lanes open."

"Walmart I have a huge bone to pick with you," Colleen said.

"You have removed the option to self-checkout unless you are a Walmart member."

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

Self-checkout also makes some customers feel as if they are employees of Walmart and are working for free.

"I am still waiting on my paycheck for working there every single time I have to use self-checkout," another Walmart customer said on X.

Someone else said, "I am going to start to bill you for my time if you can't solve these service issues."

Some Walmart stores have even started to limit who can use self-checkout.

    </div> </div>

This is due to certain self-checkouts being reserved for Walmart+ subscribers.

A Walmart+ membership costs $98 annually.

"We continually look at ways to provide our customers with the best shopping experience and that includes adjusting the checkout area in stores," Walmart spokesperson Josh Havens told Business Insider.

However, Walmart insists its membership plan is not intended to replace all self-checkouts at a price.

"It is not intended to increase the W+ memberships," Walmart spokesperson Joe Pennington told The U.S. Sun.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment on the matter.

Tom Sandoval was caught in Saturday Night Live's crosshairs for the second time in one season.

During the Saturday, May 11, episode, "Weekend Update" anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che discussed presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. claiming to have a parasitic brain worm. SNL cast member Sarah Sherman played the apparent worm in the sketch, which her mom alluded to in the Mother's Day cold open segment earlier in the broadcast.

"But look, RFK's body was a worm's paradise," Sherman, 31, dressed in a worm costume, quipped. "Not a single drop of vaccine in sight! My whole parasite posse hung out in there. Shout-out to hook worm, bot fly, that fish that swims up your P-stream and my man, Tom Sandoval."

As Sherman rattled off the names of each worm, photos filled the screen. When she got to Sandoval, 41, a pic appeared of the Vanderpump Rules star walking outside shirtless.

Saturday's episode — which was hosted by SNL veteran Maya Rudolph with musical guest Vampire Weekend — was not the first time that Sandoval was dissed on air. He was name-dropped on a February episode when cast member Marcello Hernandez dressed up as a frozen embryo to discuss the Alabama state Supreme Court case. (The Alabama court had ruled that frozen embryos stored for in vitro fertilization are children, meaning that parents can sue for wrongful death if the samples are damaged before implantation.)

"I guess I've never talked before because I don't have a mouth or throat or lungs," Hernandez, 26, quipped on "Weekend Update" at the time. "Does this look like a life to you, Colin? I'm living at negative 200 degrees in liquid nitrogen, freezing my nonexistent nipples off. I don't got a brain, I don't got a heart; I'm like Tom Sandoval."

Hernandez's character, however, pointed out that he cannot watch Sandoval on Vanderpump Rules because "[he doesn't] even have eyes."

Scarlett Johansson and More Memorable 'Saturday Night Live' Cameos

"But even without eyes, I can see that Tom's a pure narcissist," the SNL comic added. "I'm just happy to be out of the freezer, Colin. The freezer's like prison [with] no names, only numbers. I once saw them put my best friend into solitary confinement … for nine months."

Sandoval has been seen as a villain on VPR since March 2023 when news broke that he cheated on his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with fellow Bravo star Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. Sandoval and Madix, 38, subsequently broke up and she refused to further speak to the TomTom co-owner.

Sandoval and Madix have moved on with Victoria Lee Robinson and Daniel Wai, respectively.

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.

The Fire Country cast is excited to get started filming season 3 — and they already have their dream story lines.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration, Billy Burke, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer shared where they want to see their characters go in the upcoming season.

"I would like to see these people sitting around in the firehouse perhaps playing charades," Burke, 57, who plays Vince, quipped. "There's been a lot of talk about it. We're gonna try to deal with [and] see what these people do when there's no tragedy going on."

Latimer, 30, meanwhile, expressed excitement at how more episodes will let everyone evolve, adding, "With a third season we're gonna dive into character[s] or character development and what we do outside of the incidents. At least that's what Billy wants to have happen!"

What the Cast of 'Fire Country' Looks Like in Real Life

The CBS series follows inmate Bode (Max Thieriot) as he gets a chance to shorten his prison sentence by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program. Bode gets assigned to his hometown, where he reconnects with his family, former friends and continues to make attempts to redeem himself.

When season 2 premiered in February, Bode was now back in prison after taking the fall for drugs that weren't his. Jake (Calloway), meanwhile, took over as Cal Fire captain while Eve (Latimer) is now leading at Three Rock.

Eve definitely has a lot on her plate but Latimer still has more plot line ideas on her wishlist.

"I want a little bit more money. Maybe a little cutie," Latimer told Us. "Maybe go on a date or two or five? As much as [Eve has this] authority — I've been telling the men what to do [on the show] — Eve needs a little cutie."

Meanwhile, Calloway would love to share the screen more with Latimer.

"I want to have some more scenes with my little sis over here because I want to be able to check [on] her and make sure she knows what's right and what's wrong," the actor noted. "However, I do want that [Division Chief]. Like that's the goal."

Photos of 'Fire Country' Cast's Best BTS Moments Throughout the Seasons

Burke jumped in to throw one more idea into the mix, adding, "I'm going to pitch a midlife crisis for Vince."

Fire Country viewers are familiar with Burke's hot takes on the show. Before season 2 premiered, Burke offered his insight on Vince and wife Sharon's (Diane Farr) marriage as they dealt with a rough patch due to Bode going back to prison.

"I think regardless of what happens between Vince and Sharon, I think people will still root for it," he told Us about the fictional couple's "idealistic" relationship. "What we try to do is make it more relatable to people who are in a similar relationship. Who do have undying responsibility to each other and to those around them. So I think that's the dynamic that people can invest in."

Burke added: He teased, "In terms of what will happen, again, don't know, I just kind of go along for the ride like everybody else does."

Fire Country airs on CBS Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.

Fire Island, written by and starring Joel Kim Booster, may be inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but one scene in particular was taken from Booster's real life.

"The 'Heads-up' scene in Fire Island is ripped from the headlines of my life," Booster, 36, tells Us Weekly exclusively as part of his 25 Things You Don't Know About Me feature. "My friends and I are big on game nights and things get competitive. It's how I found out my boyfriend didn't know who Natalie Imbruglia was."

The movie — which also stars Bowen Yang, Conrad Ricamora, James Scully and Margaret Cho — follows a group of gay friends who go on vacation to Fire Island, an island off of New York known for its queer-friendly community.

The "Heads-Up" scene Booster references follows the group as they play an intense round of the iPhone game, which prompts the players to guess the name of a person, place or thing which can be read on the phone held on the forehead of one player.

The players hilariously try to get Ricamora's character, Will, to guess the name of Marisa Tomei by acting out some of her iconic movie scenes.

"No, the defense is wrong!" Keegan (Tomas Matos) and Luke (Matt Rogers) exclaim, imitating Tomei's line in My Cousin Vinny. "My biological clock is ticking like this and the way this case is going, I ain't ever getting married!"

"That's actually the problem with Hollywood," Luke adds. "It's people like you who forget about Marisa Tomei, but they remember Alicia Vikander."

After much speculation about a possible exit, Kyle Richards was spotted filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14.

Kyle, 55, was spotted in front of the Bravo cameras at Sutton Stracke's Surrealism Ball on Saturday, May 11. Kathy Hilton, Garcelle Beauvais, Erika Jayne and rumored newcomer Bozoma Saint John were among the familiar ladies filming RHOBH at Sutton's home for the event, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the surrealist movement.

"Let's do this

," Richards captioned photos of herself via Instagram on Sunday, May 12, in her black Alexandre Vauthier gown with antlers and flowers in her hair. Several attendees posted on social media to show the cameras filming Richards alongside the other women as they watched YellaCatt perform.

Kyle is the only RHOBH cast member who has starred on the show since season 1 premiered in 2010. Her fellow OGs, Taylor Armstrong, Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards and Lisa Vanderpump, have all left the show behind, making Kyle RHOBH's sole through line.

However, not every cast member from last season is back. Crystal Kung Minkoff confirmed her departure from the franchise via Instagram video on April 15. Along with Kyle and Crystal, 41, season 13 starred Erika, Garcelle, Sutton, Dorit Kemsley and Annemarie Wiley.

Former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Stars: Where Are They Now?

Speculation about Kyle's possible departure came after a challenging year for the Bravolebrity. Season 13 of RHOBH, which premiered in October 2023, focused heavily on Kyle's martial woes with Mauricio Umansky. After facing criticism from her costars about her desire to keep her relationship strife private, news of Kyle's separation from Mauricio, 53, came to light during the season finale. (Us Weekly confirmed in July 2023 that Kyle and Mauricio had split after 27 years of marriage.)

Kyle has spoken openly about the emotional toll that season 13 took on her. During a March appearance on the "Let's Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa" podcast, she slammed the way her costars treated her while filming the latest installment of RHOBH.

"I mean, my friends were my therapists, but the way they came at me, it was not from a loving place or a friend that said, 'Do you need someone? Are you OK? Is everything OK? Do you need anything?'" Kyle said. "It was unbelievable, honestly. It felt inhumane. … I was like, 'Can you not give me some grace?'"

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's Relationship Timeline

Kyle also said during a March appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that it's "nobody's f—king business" why she and Mauricio called it quits.

"With any marriage, there's issues that you have. They come up. You get busy, you've got kids," she explained. "Some of the issues never went away, they were never worked on. Something, like I said in my interview, happened where I did lose my trust."

While season 13 was a uniquely difficult one for Kyle, the actress told Extra last month that whether or not she signs on for another season is "always something I decide last-minute." However, she also admitted that she's feeling the weight of her reality TV fame more than ever.

Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade's Friendship Timeline

"I think this season, particularly, because I had been so under the microscope, not just with the cast but in the public eye, it's been very challenging to navigate through that when I'm just trying to figure out my life myself," she said.

Kyle and Mauricio share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16. Kyle also shares daughter Farrah, 35, with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.

Novak Djokovic was struck in the head with a water bottle following his first-round match at the Italian Open.

The tennis phenom, 36, took to the stands after defeating French player Corentin Moutet 6-3, 6-1 on Friday, May 10. Per social media footage shared via X, Djokovic was hit in the head as he approached fans to sign autographs, causing him to fall to the ground in pain.

Security at the event, which is held at Foro Italico in Rome, Italy, quickly ran to Djokovic's aid before ushering him back into the building.

Following the incident, tournament organizers released a statement sharing that the athlete "underwent appropriate medication and has already left the Foro Italico to return to his hotel" and noted that "his condition is not a cause for concern."

Celebrity Health Scares Through the Years

"We're very upset about what happened, and we are trying to figure out who it was and understand the dynamics," Tennis Federation spokesman Alessandro Catapano said in a statement, per Fox News. "The police came and asked for information, but the person who did it had already left. We're going through all of the video and camera angles to see if we can determine what exactly happened."

Hours later, an alternate angle of the moment was posted to X, revealing that the water bottle had fallen from above Djokovic accidentally after it slid out of a fan's backpack.

Friday's match marked Djokovic's first of the tournament, where he sits as the No. 1 seed. His next match will be against 29th-seeded Alejandro Tabilo on Sunday, May 12. Later this month, he will attempt to defend his title at the French Open which kicks off on May 26.

This isn't the first time an accidental injury has occurred on one of Djokovic's courts. During the US Open in September 2020, the player inadvertently hit a lineswoman with a tennis ball and was subsequently disqualified during a fourth-round match against Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta.

During the match, Djokovic appeared frustrated after being down 5-6 in the first set and appearing to suffer a shoulder injury. As he walked off to the sideline for a changeover, he took a ball out of his pocket and his it behind him, striking the woman.

Djokovic was then approached by tournament referee Soeren Friemel and Grand Slam supervisor Andreas Egli who spoke on the court for more than 5 minutes before ultimately deciding to disqualify Djokovic from both the match and the tournament.

"In accordance with the Grand Slam rulebook, following his actions of intentionally hitting a ball dangerously or recklessly within the court or hitting a ball with negligent disregard of the consequences, the US. Open tournament referee defaulted Novak Djokovic from the 2020 US Open," the United Stated Tennis Association said in a statement at the time. "Because he was defaulted, Djokovic will lose all ranking points earned at the US Open and will be fined the prize money won at the tournament in addition to any or all fines levied with respect to the offending incident."

Which Celebs Have Married or Dated Pro Tennis Players? A Guide

Djokovic later addressed the incident via Instagram, writing, "This whole situation has left me really sad and empty. I checked on the lines person and the tournament told me that thank God she is feeling ok. I'm extremely sorry to have caused her such stress. So unintended. So wrong. I'm not disclosing her name to respect her privacy."

He continued, "As for the disqualification, I need to go back within and work on my disappointment and turn this all into a lesson for my growth and evolution as a player and human being. I apologize to the @usopen tournament and everyone associated for my behavior. I'm very grateful to my team and family for being my rock support, and my fans for always being there with me. Thank you and I'm so sorry."
