Miss. Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann, 77, Collapses Mid-Speech on Senate Floor: 'Feeling Fine Now
Mississippi Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann is ready to "go back to work" after an alarming video captured him collapsing on the floor of the state Senate. The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Feb. 19, when Hosemann, 77, was presiding over the session as Sen. Briggs Hopson presented a bill on the floor, according to WBLT-TV, WAPT-TV and the Associated Press. Video of the incident — which reviewed and obtained by multiple outlets before it was taken down from the state Senate website — shows Hosemann standing at a podium before he leans forward, dips his head and closes his eyes.
